Believe it or not, we are already in mid-September and in less than three weeks the U.S. team will be in camp in Texas ahead of the its next World Cup qualifier against Jamaica in Austin. There are a lot of issues at play with how that roster could come together and ASN’s Brian Sciaretta gives it his best shot to predict and explain what the team could look like in October.
The first trio of World Cup qualifiers in September were decidedly mixed for the United States national team. Two lackluster draws but a resounding second half in a win over Honduras gave the U.S. team five points and a solid goal differential.
