Yanks Abroad: A Daryl Dike Double

Dike’s two goals were among six goals & an assist this week.

The Americans were back with their club teams this weekend after the international break. Several players were rested or came off the bench, but the United States Men’s National Team pool of players still racked up six goals and an assist.

Daryl Dike obviously leads the way because this man is absolutely on fire! Just look at that goal below, he cannot be stopped right now. That is unless it’s a penalty kick. He had a chance for the hat trick, but his attempt from the spot was saved. But the two goals were enough to get the 2-1 win over Luton Town. The 20-year-old now has seven goals in 13 matches since going on loan to Barnsley, who are now sitting in 5th place.

After scoring with the USMNT vs Northern Ireland, Christian Pulisic returned to Chelsea full of confidence. He scored and played well in the first half vs West Brom, but did not return for the second half. Then everything fell apart for Chelsea who fell 5-2 against the 19th place team in the Premier League.

Pulisic was hacked down to earn a free kick in a dangerous spot . . .
